He never told us about the horrors and experiences he went through during WW2. A quiet, unassuming person, who was 19 when War broke out, and he joined up. Later, his family was his life, but sadly, he didn't live to see his Grt Grandchidren, although, they know all about him. He took part in the D-Day landings at Sword and Juno beaches. We have researched what we could about his Service, and he was a very brave man. l only wish l'd asked more questions. So proud of you Dad/Grandad/Grt Grandad.
