Dedicated in memory of my late father Acting Leading Seaman George Lancaster. He was 20 years old on D-Day and was on landing craft in the first wave on Juno Beach. His landing craft was sunk and after managing to get to the beach was shot twice in the arms. Eventually was evacuated from the beach and spent a long time recovering from his wounds having lost part of his elbows was invalided out but considered himself as lucky to have survived. Huge respect to all those that took part in D Day.
