This is a special place for you to share memories and photos of your loved ones who were involved in D-Day - and the wider war effort.

“…the spirit of the people, resolute, dedicated, burned like a bright flame, lit surely from those unseen fires which nothing can quench.”  King George VI, 6 June 1944 (D-Day)

My father was D-Day +1 We were very proud of him, he was in Malta, one of the Desert Rats, Italy and D-Day. He was injured in August1944 and then sent back when recovered. He was captured in January 1945.He lived to 96 years old. As we live in Aylesford near the British Legion Village we support them regularly. He spent the last month of his life in the village.
