Landed 07:30 on Sword Beach. Initial assault. Mines and barbed wire cleared and around 9 routes cleared of mines to get the troops off the beach by 09:00 ready for the 2nd wave. 12 tanks remains operational out of 26. In the afternoon engaged a a Panzer div in the afternoon in Hermanville and Lion Sur Mer. Went on to the battle of Caen and beyond
