A young farmer's lad from mid Wales, sent to war in 1939. 2 beaches that changed his life - Dunkirk May 1940, and Juno beach June 1944. L/Cpl Mason, 89coy, HQ platoon, RASC, under Captain Walker and Major Reeves. Not a day goes by I don't think of him. Fy annwyl Dadcu, fy arwr, fy ffrind. (My dearest Grandfather, my hero, my friend). xxx
