D-Day 80 Memorial

This is a special place for you to share memories and photos of your loved ones who were involved in D-Day - and the wider war effort.

“…the spirit of the people, resolute, dedicated, burned like a bright flame, lit surely from those unseen fires which nothing can quench.”  King George VI, 6 June 1944 (D-Day)

Write your dedication

We are grateful to everyone's sacrifice on the 6th of June and afterwards. Ken was my mother's brother. But also fighting in WW2 was uncle Ron ( RAF Regiment) and uncle Maurice ( Merchant Navy) torpedoed twice.
