My Dad Nobby Clarke landed on Juno beach on DDay 6/6/1944, he was only 19 years old and lost his two best Friends that Day. Years later he went back to France for a reunion and met a couple Albert and Simone Clement and a close friendship was made for over 30 years with both families visiting each other’s homes. The photo shows my Dad being the last marine to leave the landing craft, so Proud of him and grateful to all the soldiers in WW2 who gave us our Freedom xx
