A lad from Tarland who joined the TA to play football! At the start of war he was in the Orkneys- next thing he knew he was under the stars of North Africa in the 2nd Battle of El Alamein. From there a hop across the Mediterranean to the beaches of Scilly for a bit more action and the odd vino... Back to UK to prepare for Normandy which saw him land in France on the afternoon of 6th June. Fought through to Germany with his mates, some of whom remain on foreign land. Thank you Dad. Miss you.
