This is a special place for you to share memories and photos of your loved ones who were involved in D-Day - and the wider war effort.

“…the spirit of the people, resolute, dedicated, burned like a bright flame, lit surely from those unseen fires which nothing can quench.”  King George VI, 6 June 1944 (D-Day)

In the early hours of June 6th, 1944, almost 80 years ago, my grandfather Peter Molyneux was onboard HMS Prince Charles, which took the US 2nd and 5th Ranger Battalions to Omaha. My grandfather always spoke of how young the men were, and always highlighted there bravery! My grandfather passed away on the 30th of May, 2023. I hope he is with fellow comrades and shipmates, resting in peace.
