My dad served as a stoker in the Royal Navy, on D Day he was a LCA (landing craft assault) driver who did 6 trips with the Canadian army to land them onto Juno beach, my dad was a quiet reserved man who did not speak much about what he saw that day but would always tell me that, " every day since Juno was a life privilege that some of those young lads would never have," thank you to all our military who serve past present and future and to my dad my hero miss and love you xxx
