My uncle Private James McPhilemy 1BN Kings Own Scottish Borderers.Landed on Sword Beach 6th June. Was killed 17th June 44 fighting in Cambes En Plaine near Caen. Is laid to rest in CWGC Douvres-la-Délivrande. I'm off to Normandy in a few weeks to attend ceremonies for DDay 80 to pay my respects to all.
