Two sailors and many, who were camped at the bottom of our garden

Thank you for your amazing triumph. I was 4 years old. We watched as our lane was renewed, we played with the tar, saw tank tracks. And was entertained by two sailors they said they were Uncle Jack. We never saw the tanks or the men camped in the field at the bottom of our garden in Shripney. But the pride of being British from then on was immense. Thank you for everything. My Dad was in Tripoli, and awarded an Oak Leaf. And never spoke about the war ever.
