Dad landed on GOLD Beach at Asnelles early on 6th June,with his SWB Regt.He was a Bren Gunner.Dday plus13/14 he was severely wounded by a sniper. After a few weeks In field hosp,was hosp shipped to BRECHIN ,and spent a long time there convalescing..He spent to rest of his life suffering from his wounds. Each and every one of those people who landed that day and who fought were Heroes each and every one of them.So proud of my Dad,and those who fought and died for us
