My father Landed Gold Beach D day 6th June 1944. He was a Bren gunner with The Cheshire regiment but appears he was with or attached to the Durham light infantry. He lied about his age when he joined in 1937 he knew a war was coming. He was at Dunkirk did Africa , Italy through to victory in Europe was wounded twice after D day. Went into Belsen concentration camp. Died aged 45. Proud Son and his family . They should never be forgotten for the sacrifices For our Freedom.We owe them alot . God B
