D-Day 80 Memorial

This is a special place for you to share memories and photos of your loved ones who were involved in D-Day - and the wider war effort.

“…the spirit of the people, resolute, dedicated, burned like a bright flame, lit surely from those unseen fires which nothing can quench.”  King George VI, 6 June 1944 (D-Day)

Even though you survived throughout the war, and we thank you for your service. You were still taken too soon from our life’s. I know you are looking down on dad and I now, and great and great great granddaughter’s. Which I know you would be very proud of. I just wish you were able to tell us more about this terrible time so we never forget the horrors of such times.
