My wife's Uncle Cedric Wasser, during WW2 Cedric served in a Light Aid Detachment of REME (Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers) attached to the 7th Field Regiment RA, of 185 Brigade of the 3rd British Infantry Division (Monty’s Ironsides). He landed on Sword Beach on D-Day 6th June 1944. His service took him through France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Egypt and finally to Palestine.
