Remembering our grandfather, Lt Gen Gerry Bucknall (right), who commanded XXX Corps in the hard fought battle to invade Normandy. His objective was to capture GOLD beach on which he landed late on 6th June once 50 Div had secured the village of Arromanches in its usual swift, brave and decisive manner. Forever in our hearts, they are all heroes. Thank you.
