This is a special place for you to share memories and photos of your loved ones who were involved in D-Day - and the wider war effort.

“…the spirit of the people, resolute, dedicated, burned like a bright flame, lit surely from those unseen fires which nothing can quench.”  King George VI, 6 June 1944 (D-Day)

My father, Lawrence Timlin and his brothers, John and George were involved in D- Day and the wider war effort. They were separated and served in different regiments. My father was in the Scottish Horse Regiment and took part in the D-Day landings. George, sadly died of injuries he sustained in Italy. I am very proud of them and grateful for what they did for us.
