To my Dad, who joined the Merchant Navy at the age of 19. He joined his first ship and within hours, enemy fire damaged the ship and killed the first young sailor he had met on board. He travelled the world, lost two brothers in the army and was involved in many battles. Such heroes and yet it took years to hear his stories and I’m sure there were more he kept to himself. God bless all those who served.
