Dad passed away in 2002 served in royal navy for 1941 when he was 18 he was onboard HMS Warspite on DDay the other ships he served on were HMS Mona's Isle, Roberts and Belfast he did not tell me much about the job he did only about arctic convoy to Russia dad should have joined vanguard but left navy after he met mom I'm reading about arctic convoy and DDay and it was hard for all the heroes who served in ww11
