For My dad Ritchie who landed on Gold Beach on DDay. His Company sargeant major Stanley Hollis was awarded a Victoria Cross for bravery on that day and lived to tell the tale. Both modest Middlesbrough men who served in the Green Howards. Dad and his four brothers all went to war. 2 years later crossing a bridge at Remagen my dad met two of his brothers going across the bridge the other way. He was 18years old when he signed up. He's the one far right on the photo
